Yanukovych offered Tihipko a high post. Tihipko accepted

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych considers Serhiy Tihipko the most acceptable candidate for the post of a vice premier in a new government, the presidential press office says.

"Tihipko does not belong to any of the parliamentary parties. The people of Ukraine showed a wide  support to him at the recent presidential elections, thus having backed changes and reforms. Tihipko is a good candidate for managing the economic block," Yanukovych said after his meeting with Tihipko.

The press office also reports that Serhiy Tihipko agreed to work in a new government.

As reported earlier, yesterday president Yanukovych held meetings with Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Serhiy Tihipko, candidates for presidency at the recent presidential election.
