Projects on the production of alternative fuel waiting for Cabinet's approval

At aspecial sitting on attracting investments the Government is considering the issue on implementing two big investment projects on the production and use of alternative and regnerative kinds of fuel in the Sumy region.

Opening the sitting, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told, the first project provides for organization of the production and use of local and regnerative kinds of fuel (wood and straw) in the Sumy region for 2005-2015. Yulia Tymoshenko considers that such alternative kinds of fuel as wood and straw can be a very potent alternative and regnerative source of energy.

Besides, according to the Prime Minister, the Sumy region proposes a project on reconstruction of the heat supply system of the town of Shostka, in particular, the transfer of water heat and steam-boilers to alternative kinds of fuel.

“These two projects will be ensured today by the adoption of certain governmental decisions open up possibilities for their implementation,” Yulia Tymoshenko stated.
