Cabinet to control implementation of priority tasks, set for ministries


From today, the government begins to listen to the ministers’ reports on implementation of tasks, determined in 2008 as priority for their departments. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told, opening the government’s sitting today.

Yulia Tymoshenko reminded that five priority tasks had been approved for every ministry and department for 2008. “From today, we begin to listen to implementation of these five key strategic directions, five priority tasks,” the Prime Minister noted.   

Report of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, according to Yulia Tymoshenko, will be the first for listening.

Besides, the Prime Minister informed that today the Cabinet members intend to draft a number of bills aimed at providing activity of the economy and society, in particular, the bill on improving payments of oblgas and oblenergo for natural gas and electric power; on reducing the tax for owners of vehicles and other self-propelled machinery and devices; on regulating the procedure of allotment for social needs; on regulating the external independent evaluation of knowledge; providing stable operation of the fuel and energy complex during the crisis.
