Tymoshenko: Ukraine is not under a threat of default

Ukraine is in no danger of incurring default. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced on air of the TSN program on the 1+1 channel.

“The state debt of Ukraine is one of the lowest among the world countries. We have it on the level of 11% GDP, while majority of the countries have 70-80%, and, for instance, Japan has a state debt in 110% GDP, that’s why Ukraine should not worry about default,” the Head of Government stressed.

In additions, Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized nowadays the Government is functioning in a patient and coordinated manner. “Unless we experienced competition for president’s elections, when both Yanukovych and the President of Ukraine are practically ruining the Government’s authority and its achievements, we would constantly work in a coordinated and efficient manner,” the Premier emphasized.
