Police to keep Ukrainian construction under control

The Regional Development and Construction Ministry of Ukraine intends to set up construction police that would help improve control over the quality of construction, and take measures against illegal builders. This idea was set forth by members of the Ukrainian Construction Association during their meeting with Regional Development and Construction Minister Vasyl Kuibida. Cabinet's press service reports

"Unfortunately, today there are a lot of facts of illegal construction, showing that unfair builders even make profits: they build up facilities without having due permits, and then legalize those facilities by a court verdict," Kuibida noted.

In his words, within the Ministry’s structure a construction policy should be formed controlling the quality of building. Vasyl Kuibida earlier stated that all illegal constructions must be removed irrespective of who was the builder, and at his own cost.
