President Yushchenko met with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan


President Viktor Yushchenko met today in Davos with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. President's press office reports.

During the meeting sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries. In energy field main spoken on projects of common interest were Odessa-Brody-Plock-Gdansk pipeline and creating a common transit space with possible participation of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine as well as Estonia, Latvia, Slovakia, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria.

President of Azerbaijan affirmed his participation in the future Kyiv Energy Summit adding that he plans to pay an official visit to Ukraine before the Summit. Viktor Yushchenko and Ilham Aliyev also discussed improvement of political dialogue between Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
