NaftoGaz of Ukraine to introduce its representatives to coordination council of RosUkrEnergo

The national joint-stock company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" will press for introducing its representatives to the coordination council of RosUkrEnergo AG (Switzerland), Chairman of the "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Board Yevhen Bakulin said, Cabinet press office report.

As he added, "it is important for us to align the balance of interests in the issue".

In July 2004 GazPromBank (Russia) and Raiffeisen (Austria) created RosUkrEnergo with registration in Switzerland for Turkmen gas supply to Ukraine through 2028.

On February 2, 2006 the national joint-stock company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and RosUkrEnergo created a joint venture, the closed joint-stock company "UkrGazEnergo" for gas supply to Ukraine.

50% share of RosUkrEnergo is owned by the Russian gas monopolist Gazprom.

Since January 1, 2006 RosUkrEnergo is an exclusive natural gas supplier to Ukraine.
