Ukraine has chosen contenders for participation in Eurovision-2007

Eight singers will fight for the right to represent Ukraine at the international sing contest “Eurovision-2007”. Olena Mozgovaya, director of creative union of musical and entertaining programs of National TV Company of Ukraine (NTKU) told Tuesday at a press conference.

Mozgovaya said 18 performers had sent applications, but only eight can take part in the elimination contest. Among them are Godo (Yuri Luk’yanenko), Yevhenia Vlasova, Vitaly Kozlovsky, Olena Hrebenyuk, Verka Serdyuchka (Andriy Danylko), Vasyl Bondarchuk, and bands “Not angels” and “Aviator”.

The final will be held in live broadcast on March 9, and TV audience will have a possibility to vote for favorites. A representative of Ukraine will be also determined by the jury, i.e. 50% depend on TV audience and 50% - on jury, but jury will get the better.
