Ukrainian farmers prepares for bird vaccination

In a week poultry vaccination in private farms of some regions of Crimea and Kherson is planned to be carried out.

The first deputy head state veterinary inspector of Ukraine Volodymyr Gorzheyev told today at the press conference in Kyiv, UNIAN informs.

“Vaccination is planned to be started in a week,” he said, adding that vaccination will be carried out only in regions with high risk, in Crimea and Kherson regions and especially on the territories with estuaries where contact of poultry and wild birds is high.

According to him, vaccination for poultry will be free of charge for people. He noted that vaccination will be done by native vaccine.

He also noted that Ukrainian veterinary service constantly monitor the epizootic situation in Ukraine.
