Hrytsenko calls up to prevent army of degradation


The Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoly Hrytsenko calls up the Cabinet and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to solve the question on new armament and technical equipment and to increase financial provision of the military personnel, he told today at the collegiums of Defense Ministry.

“If we do not solve these problems, nobody and nothing will stop degradation of the army and breakdown of officer’s corps,” Hrytsenko said.

He noted that, first of all, it is necessary to take measures of provision of the Armed Forces by new armament and military technics.

“If the Armed Forces do not have modern battle-worthy technics - there will be no army. It is a national problem. It can’t be solved only by heads of the Armed Forces.

We need help of the Government and all who concerns over defensive capacity of our State,” he noted.

Moreover Hrytsenko noted that there is a critical situation with financial provision of military personnel According to him, military personnel leaves the service not because they do not want to serve but because they are not able to provide their families.

He hopes that in the first quarter the correspondent changes in the state budget will be made.

“Without solving these questions it is impossible to speak about future of the army,” he said.
