Ukrainian pupils will study upright

Ukrainian pupils will study upright


In the nearest future children in Ukrainian schools will study not sitting at school desks, but upright. Education Minister Stanislav Nykolayenko told at a press conference.

The experiment will be conducted in two regions of Ukraine – Khmelnitsk and Kyrovohrad regions.

Nykolayenko explained that two or three desks will be placed in one classroom, and children will study by turn. Besides, standing at the desk, children will have to take off their shoes. “Feet massage,” the minister explained.

Nykolayenko considers that standing study will improve children’s health. Circulation of the blood will improve, and children will less suffer from scoliosis.
