Ukraine’s Cabinet solves “religious issue”

According to him, in autumn Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych met with representatives of different religious confession. “Reasoning from the discussed issues Yanukovych charged to renew the work of the committee on restitution of property and real estate to religious organizations,” Tabachnyk said and added that such committee was working during the period of 2002-2003.

For that time the committee returned about 60 objects to different religious organizations.

“I am convinced that systematic and organized work on restitution of church property to religious organizations will further improvement of democratic norms of coexistence of the state and the church,” he underlined.
