Chernovetsky blamed Tymoshenko for “garbage” problems in Kyiv

The Kyiv mayor Leonid Chernovetsky considers problems on garbage removal in Kyiv began due to BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko and deputy of Kyiv council Mykhaylo Brodsky. Chernovetsky told today at the press conference.

“It is more expensive to remove solid garbage in Kyiv comparing with other cities of Ukraine. These days garbage dump raised tariffs for Kyiv under political influence of Tymoshenko and Brodsky,” Chernovetsky said.

Administration of nine companies-carriers of solid garbage in Kyiv intended to stop their work since December 22 in case Kyiv council would not raise tariffs on garbage removal or not pay difference compensation between prime cost of services and current tariffs operating since 1999.

According to garbage carriers, tariff on garbage removal should comprises UAH 18-20 for cubic meter plus UAH 21 for cubic meter for it burial instead of current UAH 15.6 (UAH 3 for removal and UAH12.8 for burial).
