Antonov Aircraft looking for new partners in AN-70 project

In connection with Russia's refusal from participation in the project of construction AN-70 plane, the O.K. Antonov Aircraft Design-Manufacturing Complex is looking for partners to realize the project, the Antonov general designer Dmytro Kiva said.

According to him, AN-70 is a "perfect plane" and its construction project will be surely realized. "We are confident in the future of this program, still we have lots of work to do," the general designer stressed.

Russia refused from participation in the project in July 2006, as AN-70 main customers, the Russian Armed Forces, several times stated their discontents over the project.

About USD 1.1 milliard was spent for AN-70 project, “Cabinet press office” informs.
