Klyuchkovsky: The Ukrainian should be the regional language of Moscow


The status of the regional may be given to the Ukrainian language in Moscow, the regular representative of the President in VR Yuri Klyuchkovsky voiced Thursday his opinion commenting on Russian Foreign Minister’s statement. Klyuchkovsky motivated his statement by the fact that over one million Ukrainians living there. As a reminder, Russian diplomat said “Russia expects all regions of Ukraine to accept the Russian language as the regional one as Kharkiv did.”

Kyuchkovsky stressed Ukraine never meddles with the domestic affairs of Russia. “It is high time for Russia to stop treating Ukraine in haughty manner,” stated Klyuchkovsky.

“We will state by ourselves where we need Russian, Polish, Hebrew, and Bulgarian, Tatar or any other languages. We will do it without the help of Moscow’s officials,” concluded Klyuchkovsky.
