Ukraine and Turkmenistan settled gas debt of 2005


After substantial negotiations, Turkmenistan and Ukraine agreed Saturday on a mutually acceptable formula for gas debts settlement, NCA reported.
 
The sides agreed on $158.9 million debt for Tukmen gas supply of 2005.
 
As a result of the negotiations, Ukrainian side has reportedly paid $59.6 million in cash as a part settlement of the debt.
Next time Ukraine will pay $28.7 million.

The commodity part of the debt that was assessed at $67.3 million will be partly offset by supply of Ukrainian pipe products of 1020 mm diameter at the price of $55.1 million.

Ukrainian delegation was led by A V Popaduke, commercial director of NaftoHazUkrainy.
