Olympic Games cost Ukraine pretty much money

Serhiy Polokhovsky the presenter of Prosport TV program on 1+1 Channel stated that the Olympic Games cost Ukraine one dear.

In response to the question abut his attitude towards Ukrainian medals he said: “A bit guardedly. I am glad for the prize-winners but they are only two out of 53 sportsmen. What do the rest 51 do in Turin? It is too expensive for Ukraine to get the international experience there, is not it?”

“I think the Olympic sport is the luxury for any country. Not everyone may permit oneself a villa in France the same way not every country may permit itself Olympic team because of it is too expensive. The country must invest in it pretty much money,” said Polokhovsky.
