"Jackson - Vanick Amendment" will not withstand Yushchenko’s rush

The president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko hopes that validity of Jackson - Vanick Amendment in regard to Ukraine will be abolished during his visit in the USA. Country’s leader declared about it on a press-conference in Kiev.

"I hope that within the visit, possibly, this question will be decided in fact", - the president said, "UNIAN" informed.

He marked also, that presently, within the preparation of his visit to the USA negotiations about abolition of Jackson - Vanick Amendment are being conducted.

We remind that Jackson - Vanick Amendment has acted since 1974 years and forbids the normal trade relations with some countries which have limitations of emigrant rights.
